From a Shacwatcher....

Protest info.

On the 1st of May SHAC called for a protest outside of the AstraZeneca AGM. Predictions were for at least a hundred people with "banners, noisemakers and a lot of energy". The reality was somewhat different. Three people later joined by a fourth who left after 20 minutes. AstraZeneca security couldn't believe their eyes and spent the day laughing at these three rather sad, lonely individuals whose lives had come to this. The police who had expected a much larger protest ALL left realising this bunch of vegans were no threat or relevance to anybody.

Another SHAC failure which at least ensures amusement for others.

Some further info on the Astra Zeneca AGM demo.

It seems the security bods took pity on the pitiful SHAC demo and bought them teas, a short conversation followed with SHAC people admiting this was their worst demo ever however relations broke down when the security started on their mid-morning bacon sandwiches at which point the SHAC threesome flounced off to much piss taking from the Astra Zeneca guys.

Well at least they managed four at this demo. Their attempt to disrupt Barclays on the 1st of May in Birmingham billed by SHAC in advance as a key demo attracted the grand total of ......

wait for it .......

TWO PEOPLE

I bet that Barclays just can't stand this kind of pressure. To add to their hopeless day one women thought they were tramps looking for a food handout and offered them some money for a sandwich:-)

Funny! I'd love to see the original advert for this! Can you post it up for us?

Do you know why the Birmingham demo was supposed to be a key demo?
