We hope so - not because we wouldn't enjoy seeing him banged up but because he is so bloody annoying.

Poor old Tom Harris - left in charge when all the adults in SHAC went to prison he decided to show off for his girlfriend - organising a pointless and childish campaign of vandalising cash-point machines.

The end result is that he gets another year on top of his 4 and two silly children he conned are now on unpaid work and proudly sporting ASBO's.

What a total, utter maggot - We blame his family who set a terrible example.

SHACWATCH is aware that the activist world is aflame with talk of infiltration and betrayal.

They have found out that an undercover Policeman infiltrated an ECO warrior conspiracy to shut down a power station.

Frankly SHACWATCH doesn’t care as this isn’t SHAC however - we seem to remember that Loony Lyn went to Kingsnorth looking for fresh meat to predate.

If the UC had anything to do with the merciless oppression that Kent police correctly employed to Lyn and her ilk we salute him!

We have a similar list to Amanzi for the UK, and recently some emails from the (private) list have appeared on an anti-animal rights website called
shacwatch.blogspot.com

I would recommend that if you visit this site, you do it via an anonymous proxy as they will log your IP address.

We're aren't sure for certain yet how the emails were leaked, but it is possible someone's email account has been hacked into, or that an abandoned domain or email
has been taken over by someone else.

It is possible that the source of the leak is also on this list.

I suggest we do some "housekeeping" of this list by getting members to email the
administrator to verify they are still alive and reading the emails, who they are
(or something to identify them if they don't want to give a real name) and from what country, and want to remain on the list. Anyone who hasn't replied within two weeks or so could be suspended from the list until they reply.

That would get rid of any email accounts that are no longer active or being checked regularly.

Then we could double-check that the remaining people are still active and not imposters by checking with people from that country.

Maybe this should be a regular process, say once a year?

Of course it could just be a leak from the police (who we assume can read the list anyway) to the shacwatch website, but at least we cover some possibilities.

Also it might be worth changing your email account passwords in case their accounts have been hacked into somehow? Especially if the passwords are insecure dictionary words. And check things like wireless routers are set up with proper encryption (WPA2).

It does also show the usefulness of using email encryption like PGP for general
email communication.

An animal rights activist has admitted his role in a crime campaign targeting businesses supporting an animal testing lab.

Thomas Harris, 29, changed his plea to guilty on a charge of conspiracy to cause criminal damage before a trial at Winchester Crown Court.

Harris, formerly of Clarence Road, Gosport, admitted his role in planning attacks on four branches of Barclays Bank in Hampshire including Park Gate and Bishop's Waltham in September 2008.

The banks, targeted for trading in shares for Huntingdon Life Sciences (HLS), were daubed with painted slogans such as 'Scum', 'Murderers' and 'ALF', short for Animal Liberation Front.

A van belonging to a Fedex employee was covered with similar slogans and had its tyres slashed in Wickham the same month.

And a family had its car covered in paint thinner in a case of mistaken identity.

All the targets were believed by activists to be connected to HLS in Cambridgeshire and were part of a wider campaign to close the labs.

Harris pleaded guilty on the basis that he was a member of the group but not the leader.

Det Con Insp Andy Robbins, who led the investigation and now heads the National Domestic Extremism Team, said: 'These were carefully planned criminal offences carried out during the cover of darkness.

'The vast majority of campaigners conduct their campaigns peacefully. However, where an individual uses crime to further their cause, we will investigate and are committed to bringing offenders to justice.'

The Crown says that following the jailing of senior members of Stop Huntingdon Animal Cruelty (SHAC) in 2007, Harris took over the reins of running the campaign group.

The court is allowing a similar charge against Harris' girlfriend, Nicola Tapping, 27, to lie on the file and it will now not be pursued.

Christopher Potter, 20, and Maria Neal, 21, both from Alcester in Warwickshire, admitted the same charge at an earlier hearing in December.

The couple had been staying with Harris and Tapping in Gosport at the time of the attacks. All three are expected be sentenced next Thursday.

Harris is serving four years for admitting conspiracy to blackmail companies and suppliers linked to HLS.

Tapping was jailed for 15 months at the same hearing in October for admitting conspiracy to harm HLS.
